Terms of Service
Last updated: April 20, 2026. These terms govern access to the CNBizAPI website, API, MCP server, and related services.
1. Service Description
CNBizAPI is a business-to-business software service that provides API and MCP access to Chinese company-related information, including company lookup, verification, registration details, shareholder information, executive information, annual filing data, and other corporate data features.
2. Accounts and API Keys
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and API credentials.
- You must keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
- We may suspend or revoke credentials for abuse, fraud, security risk, or violation of these terms.
3. License and Permitted Use
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable right to access the service for lawful internal business use and for building customer-facing or internal applications that comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Prohibited Use
- No unlawful use, fraud, account sharing abuse, or attempts to bypass quotas or rate limits.
- No resale of raw bulk data dumps except under a separately agreed commercial arrangement.
- No use as a substitute for regulated consumer credit reporting, employment screening, tenant screening, insurance underwriting, or other prohibited uses described in our Acceptable Use Policy.
- No scraping, penetration testing, reverse engineering, or disruption of the service without authorization.
5. Pricing, Credits, and Billing
- Free-tier access, paid credit packs, and other commercial packages may be offered from time to time.
- Unless otherwise stated, paid credits are consumed when a billable query or feature is successfully processed.
- Taxes, processor fees, and merchant-of-record terms may apply depending on the payment provider.
6. Service Availability and Data Accuracy
We aim to provide a reliable service, but availability, latency, completeness, or field coverage may vary. The service is provided on an as is and as available basis. Data may be delayed, normalized, translated, or corrected over time.
7. Compliance Responsibility
You are responsible for evaluating whether your own use of the service complies with applicable laws, internal policies, and sector-specific rules. You must not rely on CNBizAPI as your sole basis for regulated decisions where independent validation is required.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CNBizAPI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of revenue, profits, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of the service.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, abuse, legal risk, or material breach of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
